Advanced 3D Solid Modeling

This has resulted in most companies requiring 3D solid models aGear box image _ Solids the final deliverable. These parametric models allow you to build features that make them much easier and faster to design and chanGear box image 1ge as the product evolves. It also allows the data to be translated into other software packages as a solid model using STEP (standard for the exchange of product model data). EES offers fully parametric 3D Solid Models using CATIA, UG NX , Pro Engineer, SolidWorks,  and other common software packages.

Packaging and Design Feasibility Analysis- Packaging 1Eicher will take the CAD models and review them versus the packaging environment, part standards, manufacturing methods, assembly process and a host of other requirements to insure that part is ready to manufacture. This could save large amounts of money and time, versus tooling and manufacturing a part that is not feasible or acceptable.

Section Criteria

 Criteria Section Development: At the beginning of any design project there should be criteria to which the given product needs to comply. These sections contain the styling, engineering and packaging requirements behind any given design. Without these sections as a ‘road map’ to develop the component you have a design that might look nice, but is not real-world feasible. We will take into account the complete component environment: part content, design intent, ergonomic requirements, safety standards, functionality, movements, required clearances, manufacturing methods, assembly steps, part quality and part style. Using all of these EES will develop criteria sections that need to be met during part development and will be used to check the part throughout its development process.

Often companies are given just the visible side of a CAD model from their customers. The end customer leaves it up to them to deliver a feasible part that is easy to manufacture and still meets the aesthetic desires and part quality. Eicher will take into account any number of criteria to determine the best assembly and part joints to accomplish this: styling intent, manufacturing methods (die lines, tooling action required, overall tool size, etc.), part color, texture and material schemes, assembly sequence and process required to assemble the components and more.

Reverse Engineering: There are many reasons to perform reverse engineering. Sometimes, it is to duplicate a part no longer in production. Other times, it is to verify the part you have produced matches the CAD model. Another, that is becoming increasingly more common, occurs when an OEM takes a component from a supplier that has gone out of business and gives it to another supplier to produce. In this case, it could be that the tools and drawings are not retrievable or no longer exist.   We can scan a component using white light or laser scanning to give us an accurate 3D representation of that component. We use that scan data to recreate the component in any number of CAD systems. We can deliver an advanced 3D solid model, drawings and/or an IGES file of that component.

Many times it just does not make sense to outsource work to an off-site facility. This might be due to timing, security, core knowledge of the product, etc. In these cases, EES offers the ability to place employees at your site. We have a vast network of designers and engineers that cover every major CAD system and most industries. We will match the employee to your needs. It is not uncommon for a customer to have the need to place a designer or engineer at their customer’s location. In this case the employee we place will have the best interests of you and your customer in mind. Even though they may technically work for us, they will in effect work for you and represent themselves as such

Data Management

Due to CAD system requirements many companies cannot absorb the large cost of supporting multiple CAD systems. EES can manage that data and the resulting translations for you. We have multiple methods of transferring data back and forth between customers and locations as well as all major CAD systems.
